Toxic Waste or Acid Circle or Unexploded Bomb is a fantastic team building activity. It is group task to work out how to transfer the toxic waste contents to the neutralization container using minimal equipment and maintaining a safe distance within a time limit.
Teamwork, communication and problem solving required to move "toxic waste". Using the ropes, participants work together to move and dump toxic waste into the neutralizing containers. Time pressure can make the task a lot more difficult, requiring improved dexterity, and planning.
Toxic Waste activity, like other group initiative tasks, is designed to offer “real” or “perceived” mental, physical, social and emotional challenges that are fun and rewarding.
Within a trusting and supportive environment, these challenges are often successfully met through team problem solving. The only equipment the teams are allowed to use is rope. The first team who successfully accomplishes the task first is the winning team.
