Trust Team-Building Activity that Focuses on Non-Verbal Communication
Blind Mind is a great trust-building activity that requires each member of the team to work in unison to reach a common objective. The goal is to create a physically and emotionally safe experience for the partner who is walking without sight. This strategy involves verbal or physical direction, spatial awareness, and collaboration. These skills translate extremely well to work settings.
Blind Mind is an active games in which the team will form a shape by walking around in a line. The first person in the line is deciding which way the everyone goes. He goes on for one minute and followed by first person connects to the end of the line, so automatically a new person becomes the leader for a minute.
The team proceeds doing so just as long until everyone has had the turn to lead the team and the first person is back on the leading spot again. Next to leading the way, the first person will now also add movements which the other persons in the team will copy. This will test the team's ability to communicate without words and to trust each other.
This activity can impel team members into working together more closely, more memorable, attainable, fun and great for developing team work and communication.
