Fuel up energy and get ready for nerve-wracking activities
The rope walk activity is one of the best activities to test physical fitness and mental endurance. It is also a fun way of learning the importance of teamwork, leadership and communication skills.
Two lengths of ropes are tied between two trees, fence posts or deck rails to create a tight-rope. Our ropes are looped several times around a couple of trees and secured with a few good knots. Place one about a foot off the ground, and the other high enough up that you can hold onto it while walking across or balancing on the bottom rope. They’ll be shaky at first, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly you will get the hang of it.
Participant are outfitted with a full body harness and a safety lanyard, or sling line, that is always hooked into an overhead safety system. Participants are then allowed to move from one end to another end. If they fall, the sling line and harness will not let them go more than 4 inches, and they can get up and continue.
